Hainanese Chicken Rice
Ingredients (Serves 2–4)
- 435g jasmine rice (washed)
- 531g water
- 300g chicken thigh
- 20g garlic
- 6g ginger, sliced
- 30g pandan leaves, tied into knots
- 2g salt
- 8g green onion
- 10g fish sauce
- 6g turmeric powder
- 3g cilantro
Steps
- Place washed rice and water into the rice cooker pot.
- Place chicken thigh pieces on top of the rice, then add pandan leaf knots.
- Close the lid and select the "white rice" cooking program.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes after cooking ends.
- Open the lid and remove pandan leaves and chicken.
- Mix the rice evenly with a rice paddle and serve.
